If “fun” & “original” music is what you are seeking, seek out 3UG (Three Ugly Guys)! This talented, 6-member group blends harmonic vocals with upbeat original scores that have the band realizing fast-growing success and growing audiences throughout the Phoenix valley. The band’s approach to creating unique original music has more and more people turning out to see what the ‘3UG-buzz’ is all about.
Immediatly after releasing their debut CD, “The Pursuit of Ugliness” in August 2007, the band won the Mix 96.9 FM Rockstar Competition that led to an opening engagement with Hootie and the Blowfish at the Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, AZ in Oct 2007. Since then 3UG has been performing at major venues and events in and around the Phoenix valley including the Insight/Fiesta Bowl New Years Block Party-opening for Roger Kline and the Peacemakers, The 2008 Tempe Music Festival with Fergie and My Chemical Romance, the US Airways Center Private Post-Concert Party with Lenny Kravitz, and the PF Chang’s Rock n Roll Marathon! And the accolades keep coming: 3UG has been nominated for 2 Phoenix Music Awards for 2008–Power Pop Artist of the Year & Musical Group of the Year!!!

One of the biggest challenges for the band has been to try and classify their genre of music, but 3UG takes pride in the “unclassified” approach — allowing their fans to enjoy the wide spectrum of styles and influences that the band enthusiastically pursues. 3UG has been through a couple of transformations- since first being founded seven years ago- growing from a simple ‘garage band’ into a full-original recording/performing group that enjoys writing as well as performing.
