In addition “Shattered” and “In Your Eyes” have also done very well in the rock and heavy rock charts. To top it off Aces High Music was awarded as the Best Alternative Band of 2007 at the Rock City News “Rockies” Awards. And Halo guitars has sponsored the band. This summer is looking to be promising for the band as they attempt to go on tour, record new songs, put up a few music videos and promote there music to the world.

Singer-Songwriter Nominated For Americana
Song Of The Year And Americana Artist Of
The Year In The 2010 Los Angeles Music Awards

37 Records recording artist Cathy-Anne McClintock has been busy making a splash on the SoCal music scene and that splash got even bigger when she received word she has been nominated for Americana Song Of The Year for her hit single “I Wanna Live Like That” from her self-titled debut album and for Americana Artist Of The Year in the 2010 Los Angeles Music Awards.
To coincide with the honor, McClintock and her band will perform at Whiskey A-Go-Go in West Hollywood on June 23, as a part of the Los Angeles Music Awards Showcase. Also performing are Aces High, Grain Of Truth, Shane O’Brien, Jon Magnificent, Robert Popa, Nadia Sohaei, Jacqueline Grace and Elena Degl-Innocenti. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door.
“I’m excited about this and honored to be nominated in this category. I loved making this record with some of the finest players in the world…so glad that they are getting recognized too!” says McClintock.
Later this summer, McClintock has the honor of sharing the stage with music icon Jim Messina of Loggins & Messina fame at The Brixton South Bay in Redondo Beach on August 11.
“I Wanna Live Like That” is continuing to burn up the charts, hitting #38 on the Power Source Inspirational Country Chart this month.
McClintock was named as one of Music Connection magazine’s Hot 100 Unsigned Bands & Artists of the year (December 2009 issue) and overseas, she has been heating up the airwaves with her single “No Matter What”, entering the Top 20 on the HOT DISC Charts in Europe.
Since moving to Southern California to focus on her solo career several years ago, she established herself as a formidable performer with gigs at hotspots like Genghis Cohen, The Mint, Kulaks, Hallenbecks and various special events, including Laguna Beach’s Pageant of the Masters, Sunset Serenade Series, Far West Folk Alliance, Canadian Music Week and the popular folk series The Living Tradition. At a particularly memorable gig at the House of Blues on Sunset, she opened for Canadian Celtic rockers Great Big Sea for an audience comprised of fellow Canadians; one of the highlights was Russell Crowe sitting in and singing a few Johnny Cash tunes with the band.
McClintock’s emergence as a solo artist is simply the latest triumph in a career that would make anyone want to “live like that.” Shortly after the Vancouver born and raised performer and her older sister Trisha Gagnon formed their bluegrass band Tumbleweed in the 90s, they played their first show on a slate in British Columbia with superstars Dolly Parton and Dwight Yoakam at Music 91, a government sponsored road show designed to boost tourism.
37 Records features music ranging from singer-songwriters, children’s works, pop and rock, alternative modern rock, holiday music, jazz and R & B, country and bluegrass, rootsy americana to soundtracks. Its digital product is available in 25 different countries on over 120 separate websites… all leading back 37 Records.
The 37 Records roster consist of White Apple Tree, Brian Stoner, Friends of Emmet, Nikki Forova, Cathy-Anne McClintock, Judy Akin, Cris Barber, Fertitta and McClintock, Tom Templeman, Mindwalk, Tumbleweed, Haley Breedlove, Brett Daniels, Kristen Trayer, Don McClintock, Christian Bradley, and Steven McClintock.
