In April 2010 a friend of mine asked me the question, “If you could be anything in the world what would that be?” Timidly and under my breath I said “I want to be a rock star.”
She said “Then do it!” There was so much commitment in her voice, I couldn’t help it; I heard myself agreeing to take on the challenge.
I had no idea how I was even going to start, let alone make something like this happen. The only place I knew where to start was to begin some vocal lessons. Soon I also began taking piano lessons, and writing my own songs.
On September 24th, 2010 I had my very first show at the Talking Stick Coffee lounge in Venice California. There were 100 people in the audience and the show got rave reviews!
Since that day, I continue to have concerts and write my own material. My musicial influences are Lady Ga Ga, Madonna, Cindy Lauper, Cher, Tom Waits, Kim Mitchell, David Bowie, The Beatles, Elton John, Simon and Garfunkel, Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush, Laurie Anderson, and The Stones.
I am committed to my fans, and to creating the best shows possible. It is my desire that everyone be empowered to follow their dreams, no matter how impossible that dream may seem to be!
