Bonedust

2013 Nominee – Hard Rock Band of the Year – 23rd Annual LA Music Awards

2013 Recipient – Musical Group of the Year – 23rd Annual LA Music Awards

Almost all of them have played with each other in different bands during the last 40 years. This is the first time that they’ve all been in the same band at the same time.
Ken and Frank played together in the bands “Stud Weasel” ,”Rose” and “Platinum” in the early/mid 70’s.
Frank and Rick met at the Mt. Sac. music dept. in 1975 and played in various Jazz, Country and cover bands.
Rick and Ken played together in the band “G.I.” in the early 80’s.
Eric and Rick played together in “The Stan West Band” and other blues projects including “The King Snakes” with Frank. Gary and Frank have known each other for years. Frank and Rick talked about doing an original Rock project and immediately contacted Eric to be a part of it. The three worked for months on ideas but knew they needed to complete the project with more players. Ken was asked to drop by and after a few songs the “three” became the “four”. Still needed was a guitarist. After trying several great guitarists, Frank remembered Gary who along with a great Rock sense also had a personality which could take the feeding frenzy of Bonedust rehearsals and hanging around in general. Together they’re writing songs which just naturally reflect their individual musical backgrounds and influences, they’re not trying to re-invent Rock or keep up with the latest music trends. Hopefully you will hear the honesty in their music. Bonedust received the Musical Group Of The Year award at the prestigious 2013 Los Angeles Music Awards.
