Brian Judah is a multi-talented singer, songwriter, musician, performer, and record producer. He was nominated for a record-breaking 6 L.A. Music Awards in 2008 and ended up walking home with 3 awards, including their most prestigious award, Singer-Songwriter of the Year. In 2009, Brian became the first artist in the two-decade history of the L.A. Music Awards to win the Singer-Songwriter of the Year award in back-to-back years. Currently, you can watch Brian on Bravo TV’s brand new reality competition show all about songwriting called Platinum Hit, premiering Monday, May 30th ,10/9c, hosted by multi-Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Jewel & head-judged by the multi-talented songwriter, producer, singer, music publisher, Kara DioGuardi.
Music has been Brian’s ultimate passion since he was just a few years old. He has been composing songs since the age of 9 and continues to compose every day. Brian has a soft spot for the piano, but he also plays a number of other instruments professionally, which include drums, percussion, guitar, bass & keyboards. He is influenced by an extremely wide variety of artists and groups from Guns N’ Roses, Stone Temple Pilots, Queen, & Keane, all the way to Elvis Presley, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Billy Joel, Rihanna, Michael Jackson, & Kanye West, and then to the more eclectic artists like Bjork, Radiohead, Tom Waits, and Kraftwerk.
Brian currently owns all of his publishing, which includes a catalog of over 100 solid songs, and solely owns his concept album masterpiece “Garden Of Edith”, which is titled in honor of his mother Edith Judah who passed away from breast cancer when Brian was 17 years old. This album is Brian’s baby. He’s been working on this album off and on for over 5 years now and won’t release it until he feels it’s ready. He calls the record “a soundtrack to the first 26 years of his life”. It features gorgeous, haunting string and choral arrangements throughout the entire record by multi-Grammy-winning David Campbell, as well as elite drumming by Abe Laboriel Jr. and Matt Chamberlain.
Today, Brian is more eager and ready than ever to communicate his uniquely honest, passionate, and intense music to the world on a very large scale as an artist, as well as a multi-genre songwriter, writing for many other artists. Currently, Brian is spending most of his time writing and recording lots of new material and he also has an awesome band that is performing with him around Los Angeles right now, completely ready to tour and promote his music. Again, music has been Brian’s ultimate passion since that magical moment when he first heard a note, and with music undoubtedly continuing to be his ultimate passion throughout his life, Brian is intensely determined to have a very long and successful career.
