Los Angeles based Pop Country recording artist. The native of rural California grew up riding horses and memorizing Country songs notes Caleche, “I couldn’t completely identify with the lyrics on the radio. Artists were always singing about “the South” and none of my surroundings were being referenced. That’s why I sing about being a West Coast Cowgirl. I want to represent all the ranches and Country music lovers of California and surrounding areas.”
The emerging success (this girl is on fire) of California raised Caleche Ryder has been developed with an early childhood obsesssion with Country music, a distinct and soaring vocal tone, the ability to write memorable and fun lyrics, and from the impact of her life experiences. She shares her story, “In 2002 I lost my big brother and best friend, Caylin, in a car accident. My life was forever changed. I knew he would want me to succeed and thrive, so I decided to live life in honor of my brother. I pursued a college degree at the University of Nevada, where I rode my horse, Harley, and practiced my singing talent to compete for the title of Miss Nevada. I won my first crown performing “One Way Ticket” by LeAnne Rimes” and then competed for the title of Miss America in 2008, representing the great state of Nevada and touring the nation sharing Caylin’s story with young adults. At the same time, I ended a 6 year relationship that I thought would last forever. Overcoming that cheating boyfriend inspired me to write some great country songs. Even better, I found love again. True love. A love that has really added a nice balance to my songwriting. My songs are not all sad, many have comical and loving undertones. I am fun-loving, quirky, and transparent. I want to make people dance, have a shot of whiskey, and dance some more.”
When faced with the decision to record in Nashville, Caleche decided to infuse her California roots and stay close to home working with one of the best Pop producers in Los Angeles that shared her passion and vision for a unique, fresh, “West Coast Country”. Ryder is never one to re-create, if it has been done she wants to do it different. You can feel the cool vibe of the LA/West Coast flavor in her music. Often described as the “Beyonce of Country music” by her fans at live shows, Caleche takes over the stage and owns every performance.
