Kathryn Grimm is a songstress / musician / teacher living in Portland Oregon via Hollywood California. Her long and impressive track record includes three music degrees (GIT, Guitar Performance; Cal State Los Angeles, BM Jazz Studies / MM Commercial Music), a lifetime of performing both fronting bands and as a side person (voice/guitar/bass/piano), teaching (Laurel Canyon Studios, Cal State Los Angeles, Seattle Drum School), producing (“Grimm Again”, [Burnside Records], Official Grammy Ballot – Best New Artist/Best Electric Blues Artist), songwriting (“Fallen Angel”, “Who’d Thunk” featuring Marcy Levy, Official Grammy Ballot) and the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards. She also hosted the longest running Pro Jam in Los Angeles and over the years has worked with many top artists (Jeff Buckley, Bo Diddley, Michael Bolton…).
Her lastest release “Transition Girl” features many styles from Blues, Jazz and Country to Rock, Gospel and Acoustic. “When you’ve been loving music as long as I have, it’s pretty impossible to stick with one genre. I am a product of all the greats who have inspired me and touched my heart from Patsy, Joni and Ella to Stevie Ray Vaughan, Hendrix and Coltrane.”
