Nominee at the 10th annual LA Music Awards

Craig Jackson, a Los Angeles recording artist, is represented and being shopped by industry veteran Vicky Hamilton. “Last House On The Left”, Craig’s second release on Green Records, featured the single “Blinded By Love” which received national airplay and Craig made print in the Gavin Report for up-and-coming artists. Craig and his band are putting the finishing touches on a third release for Green Records, tentatively titled “midwest” with Joe Simon, Cliff Brodsky, and Craig producing. The album’s first single, “Just a Memory”, is already receiving Hot AC and Top 40 radio airplay. Band members are Craig, Lori Lynner, Cary Beare and Jon Mattox. The music is very rootsy and story-driven with lots of vocal harmonies, in the great rock/pop tradition. Vertical Horizon, Counting Crows, Shawn Mullins and Don Henley come to mind. Craig has played L.A. clubs including molly malones, the gig, the whiskey, the troubadour, the cat club and the kibbitz room at kanters as well as a number of Circle Of Songs appearances. Craig was nominated for AC Artist of the Year at the L.A. Music Awards at the Beverley Hilton Hotel.

Craig’s second release on Green Records is the C.D. Last House on The Left, produced by Craig and Barry Fasman, British Producer of the year in 1985 with many gold records to his credit. The record is full of jangly guitars, soaring harmonicas and the good old piano and Hammond B-3 organ. A very organic and rootsy record.

Beginning his career in San Francisco, Craig played in local bands and opened shows for George Thorogood, Huey Lewis, David Crosby, Jefferson Starship and Dwight Twilley.
