Our Mission

Our primary mission is to provide a strong foundation for lifelong recovery from the disease of addiction.

Treatment

Treatment is provided in a clean, comfortable, and friendly home-like atmosphere. Individual attention and small group size is an important feature of our program.

Residential treatment consists of daily and intensive individual and group counseling, therapy, education, nutrition, recreation, and more.

Because the disease of addiction has so many dimensions and disrupts so many aspects of an individual’s life, our approach to treatment incorporates a variety of components, each directed at a particular aspect of the illness and its consequences.

The disease is confronted and each person is provided with opportunities to challenge self-destructive concepts, experience personal growth and responsibility, increased self-esteem, increased social performance and develop a recovery-based lifestyle.

Four phases of the program provide goals and objectives, where growth can be observed and measured. The demonstration of personal growth encourages the participant toward completion. Completion will depend on the motivation and diligence of the individual, but is designed to occur within 90 days.

Phase I
We provide a comprehensive assessment in order to treat each individual according to their needs. Referral to medical detoxification may be provided, if necessary. Mental and physical health issues are identified and an initial treatment plan is developed. In this phase, we emphasize individual counseling and support. We familiarize the individual with a safe and healthy environment of recovery along with introducing the individual to the treatment process, which includes group therapy, along with education on the disease concept of addiction. Consequences of continued chemical use are also a focus during this phase.

Phase II
We challenge the individual with the realities of their life including behavior and thinking. There is a focus on attitude and its impact on recovery. Family counseling is introduced and strongly encouraged during this phase. The process begins to focus on specific educational and life enhancing skills. Group therapy continues and it is related to recovery concepts of the individual’s own experience. Treatment plans are re-assessed based on progress and revised to include any other issues that may have surfaced in the previous phase. Reinforcement of daily structured routines, attending group therapy sessions, recreational therapy, 12 Step meetings and special education sessions increase the knowledge of addiction, positive support groups, relapse trigger awareness, health and nutrition.

Phase III
Individuals are encouraged to recognize and practice the new skills learned in earlier phases. There is a focus on self-esteem building through leadership in the treatment community. We encourage and support establishing short and long-term goals and building communication skills and relationships with home, work, schools, and the social environment. An aftercare recovery plan is developed and may include referrals to outside sources for any ongoing specialized treatment to address continued mental health, anger management, parenting, vocational skills or other needs.

Phase IV
The graduate is assisted in implementing their aftercare plan. Individual counseling is available and encouraged at periodic intervals. Structured sober and transitional living accommodations are made available. All graduating clients are encouraged to continue self -help (12 Step) groups and obtain an AA / NA sponsor. Attendance at the weekly Relapse Prevention, Anger Management Workshops, and Alumni Meetings are highly recommended.
