Giuseppina Torre Was born in Vittoria ( Italy ) . She got her degree in Pianoforte at Liceo Musicale ” V. Bellini ” in Caltanissetta , studyng with Maestro Sergio Carrubba and later with Maestro Cultrera and Maestro Francesco Nicolosi.
• The composer after obtaining her Degree in Piano she began her concert career that has led her to be known first as a performer of classical music and later as a performer of her composition, which are found in the context and atmosphere of the musical genre called “New Classical Music”.
• Since 1990’s she has been performing in various Theaters and Music High School Institutes, both Italian and Foreign: Catania, Ragusa, Ispica, Palermo, Rome, Monaco Di Baviera, Cremona, Shaffhausen, Coira, Megeve, Chamonix, Lisbon, Barcelona, Bucarest.
• In 1995 she participated as a guest of honour at the International Music Ferienkurse Neue Schule at George Bukner Schule (Darmstadt), gaining critical acclaim.
• In 1997 she was given the Diploma Of Honour at the Musical Lyceum “Ion Vidu” of Timisoara.
• In 2010 she was given she was selected to participate to 19th Ibla Gran Prize in the Category Composer by achieving the final.
• In the same year she participated with great success at the Exhibition “Arte e Gusto Ibleo” promoted by the Ente Turismo Regione Sicilia (Sicilian Body of Tourism)In May 2012 she received two Nominations at the LAMA.
• In October she was communicated the victory of the award as International Artist Of The Year.
• In November she performed the composition “The Silence Of The Stars” by enchanting the audience.
• After that she was prized with a second Award as International Solo Performer Of The Year.
• August 2013 is the official release date of Giuseppina Torre’s first album “Il Silenzio Delle Stelle” which immediately receives a Nomination as Instrumental Album Of The Year at LAMA 2013 and in September she presented her work at LAMA Voting Party held at the famous Club Whisky A Go-go.
