Group Therapy

1991 Recipient – Best Unsigned Band Video – 1st Annual LA Music Awards (Local Music Awards) “Dotted Line”

Group Therapy started out in the mid 80’s as a Dance/Funk/Party band. Their popularity continued to rise to the point where they were a regular at such places as the Stone Balloon and Rusty Rudder as well as all over Ocean City, Maryland. GT has also shared the stage with such national acts as Kool and the Gang, The Spinners, Average White Band and Tower of Power to name a few.

While GT has been successful throughout the years, winning the News Journal Local Band category in 2006, they wanted to try something they had never done before. They decided to have both a male and female front the band. With the addition of Ty Brown and Tracey Albarran, the band has added a whole new dimension to the show. Ty and Tracey bring a new level of energy, professionalism and of course talent to the band.
TraceyTracey is a talented singer and performer, who loves to entertain everyone. She has an amazing ability to sing any style of music; from Katy Perry to a funky groove rendition of a Chaka Khan song and the soul of a Cheryl Lynn song.

TyTy has his own unique style of performing. He loves to get the audience involved as he glides through the crowd providing an amazing rendition of an Al Green or Temptations song. And you have to hear him sing his Michael Jackson songs!!!

With the addition of the two new singers, GT continues to perform its solid repertoire of dance songs. The band prides itself on tight harmonies, impeccable horn lines, solid rhythm and melodic passages all woven around decades of popular dance songs. GT has continued to be successful due to their collective experiences and non compromising desire to provide quality musical entertainment.
