2006 Founder Award – Rock Guitarist of the Year – 16th Annual LA Music Awards

JEFF ELLIS: LEAD VOCALS, LEAD GUITARS, AND
SONGWRITER

Jeff Ellis was raised in Newport Beach, California and
graduated from Newport Harbor High School. He now lives
in Azusa, California in the beautiful canyon.

He learned to play left handed guitar by ear at the age of 7
years old and has been playing ever since.

Jeff Ellis has opened up for such bands in the early 90’s;
POISON, and GREAT WHITE. He has many favorite bands
that he loves listening to they are (just to mention a few),
JOURNEY, Eric Martin, RATT,
WHITE LION, UFO, DOKKEN, VAN HALEN, CINDERELLA
and more.

Jeff’s favorite hobbies include going to the
Colorado River with family and friends, taking rides on a
Custom 117 HP Harley Dyna, dirt bike riding with his son
and of course playing his guitar, singing and writing songs.

COOL FACTS: Jeff Ellis was in a band during his freshman
and sophmore years at
Newport Harbor High School called IMPACT with one of the
founding members of TRAIN, Robbie Hotchkiss. Jeff also
gave guitar lessons to the bass player of TRAIN, Charlie
Colin.
GEAR: Jeff’s main axes are, Michael Schenker Flying V, a
modified Fender Stratocaster and a Les Paul Custom
Supreme.
All of Jeff’s guitars are equipped with Seymour Duncan JB
pickups at the bridge position.
He also plays a Takamine Electric Acoustic.
Guitars are strung with GHS 9 ga. boomers.
Jeff uses Marshall Amplification exclusively. Jeff now uses
the new Marshall 100 watt JVM amp. This powers 1960
Lead 4X12 Marshall Cabinets with celestion speakers. His
pedal board is loaded with a Boss super overdrive, Boss
Stereo Chorus, Line 6 echo park delay through a Boss
Noise Suppressor.
He uses a Senhieser G2 Wireless for the bigger venues.
His pedal board is loaded with a seymor duncan signal
booster.
