Nominated for Drummer of the Year –  13th Annual LA Music Awards

Born in Jerusalem, Israel, Karen began playing drums at the age of sixteen. She quickly caught the attention of the renowned Rimon School of Music in Ramat Hasharon, Israel and was awarded a full scholarship.

During her three years at Rimon, Berklee College of Music made a rare offering of scholarship to only two students, the first being Karen, giving her the opportunity to pursue her career in the United States. While attending Berklee in the fall of 1999, Karen received the highest scholarship awarded to drummers.

No longer happy with being a student, Karen made the transition out of Berklee in 2000, moved to New York, spent four years playing many local gigs and teamed up with Columbia recording artist, Chris Botti. It was through her three year world tour with Chris that she met and worked with Sting and Shawn Colvin.

In 2003 she moved to Los Angeles to actively pursue her career as a professional drummer. While in LA, she met platinum selling pop star, Jesse McCartney (Hollywood Records) with whom she continues to tour and record with today.
