Bio
The band was formed by lead singer Sabrina Petrini. Her journey in LA started at MUSICIANS INSTITUTE in Hollywood. She quickly adapted to the LA life and one of her first shows was at a packed HOUSE OF BLUES. A month after that she signed a record deal and began the recording with B.A.M and UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP. She still managed to stay in school and graduate even through her busy schedule and she continued her success with being on MTV and LOGO TV with her music video “U MAKE ME (LOL)”. She got nominated for best pop artist at LA MUSIC awards and best pop song at HMMA Awards 2010. Her first album release show was at PALLADIUM, Hollywood, CA for 4.000 people but that was nothing compared to her biggest gig of her life at the AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS 2010.

It was after meeting and working with Kim Fowley (Joan Jett, GNR) and Noizee (Marky Ramone) Sabrina came to realize what she really wanted and that was to play in a band again. She decided to take a break from the backing tracks and dancers and started focusing on finding a new sound, her sound. She left her record deal and manager to DIY and shortly she ended up back in the studio experimenting with melodic European and edgy American sounds. She named the band KINGQUEEN after her artist name and she was no longer going solo. After months of playing with different musicians she finally found the right band members. Rehearsals turned in to songs and songs turned in to their debute album “GET LOUD”. They recorded the album on tape in a little studio in Norco, CA. Sabrina and her guitar player Dario Comuzzi produced the album and the music was mixed and mastered in Italy by Frank Nemola (Vasco Rossi). It’s available on iTunes and Spotify.

2013 was a good year for KINGQUEEN. The band won LA’s Hard Rock Rising battle of the bands and performed at Universal City Walk. KQ debuted as a band on the House Of Blues mainstage and opened for Steel Panther. May 2014 KingQueen released their single and music video “Chemically Imbalanced” and expanded their fan base tremendously playing bigger venues and got endorsed by Roland US, Audio Technica and Dean Markley Strings.

Sabrina Petrini is now recording a solo EP collaborating with Dario Comuzzi and DJ Dechard which will be released late 2015.
