About the Artist
Singer/Songwriter Lexie Cole sings with so much passion and expression that audience members have been known to call out “Go, Aretha!” and “You’re the next Teena Marie!” Her uninhibited singing style lacking any shred of self-consciousness is a modern-day example of true soul singing. She considers her biggest mentors to be Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan and Gladys Knight.

Her love of R&B/Soul, Funk and Gospel can be heard in her original music. She has just finished producing her much anticipated debut album “Nourish.” As the Executive Producer, she wrote and recorded the entire project in Oakland working primarily with BamRock City Productions’ own Robert Anderson. Being the sole lyricist, Lexie gets inspiration from the heart of human existence: Soul searching, the pursuit of truth and purpose and the knowledge that each of us deeply desires to make a difference.

Originally from Albuquerque, NM, Lexie moved to Oakland, CA where she perfected her performance skills in all types of venues including festivals, private parties, weddings and well-known Bay Area clubs like Café du Nord, The Red Devil Lounge, Rasselas and Kimball’s East. In 2001, she put her own band together which she managed, booked and promoted. Thanks to her experience the SF Bay Area, Lexie is confident in her performance, booking, networking, managerial, promotional and marketing abilities.

Lexie recently relocated to Los Angeles to be closer to the music industry and is currently building her strategy for the next phase of her career: Promoting and distributing her new album. She is seeking Management, A Promotion and Distribution deal, a Label deal as well as opportunities to go on tour with bigger name acts. She will consider relocation if the opportunity is right and if getting her music played on the radio is considered a top priority.
