Liquid Blue® is a multi award-winning international recording / touring act and cover band for high-end events. The San Diego based ensemble has performed in more than 100 countries and hold a Guinness World Record®. The band scored a Billboard Top-10 Hit in 2010 and have been featured on Seven Magazine Covers. In 2005 Liquid Blue became the first American act to be signed by a major Chinese record label and was chosen to represent the United States at the CCTV kick-off concert for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. The group has performed at sold-out, ticketed shows worldwide and has received more accolades, awards and recognition than any other cover band in the music industry. Liquid Blue is a certified green business.

America’s Best Dance Band

Locally they’ve been recognized “Best Cover Band” at the San Diego Music Awards. The band covers over 600 songs including a multitude of musical styles. This is not your typical cover band but an internationally acclaimed, cutting-edge ensemble that will intrigue your guests and leave them wanting more. The Band & The Blue Girls®

Liquid Blue features Grammy winning musicians, a former Elektra Records recording artist, a Billboard hit songwriter and a Chinese Idol finalist! On the female side, fronting the group is Nikki Green and the multi-talented BlueGirls® trio. In 2010 Nikki became the first American ever to qualify for the finals in Chinese Idol. Most of the BlueGirls play keyboards, guitar or both. The male fronts are Ellis Hall III and Scott Stephens. Scott is a former pro Roller Derby skater with the L.A. T-Birds. Our DJ, Layla Loxa is a former World-Champion Surfer. There is also an optional horn section available, BlueBrass®.

Recordings

Liquid Blue was named “America’s Best Independent Artist” twice (2004/2005) and also finished runner-up for “Best Band” twice at theInternational Music Awards (2006/2007). The multi-language “Earth Passport” is the bands biggest hit to date, reaching #3 on the Billboard Hot Dance Singles Sales chart and #12 on the Billboard Hot Singles Sales chart. Their highly acclaimed LP “Supernova” was awarded Pop Album of the Year in 2009 at the Los Angeles Music Awards and was distributed nationally in Target stores selling over 40,000 units. Produced by David DeVore, (12 multi-platinum LP’s) and mixed by (six-time Grammy winner) Joe Chiccarelli, it has been a top-ten seller at CD Baby and was featured on their bestsellers compilation. Tracks from this LP have been included on 25 compilations. The single “Real” was the #1 Indie Label song in the U.S. in 2005 with over 400 spins per week.

“With over 600 songs to choose from, Liquid Blue can customize a show for every taste! Within those 600 songs the band has put together over 70 medley arrangements. Each medley is a mini-tribute to a particular group or era. For example, our Led Zeppelin Medley features Trampled Under Foot, Dancing Days, Houses of the Holy, Rock and Roll and ends with the heavy section of Stairway To Heaven. “Rockers to the Stars”

Liquid Blue is a favorite of A-list celebrities as well as the rich and famous. Recently one of the three wealthiest families in America hired the band to perform at a very exclusive, private affair in Northern CA. LPGA golf champion Cristie Kerr chose Liquid Blue for her wedding held in Scottsdale, AZ. President Jimmy Carter invited the band to rendezvous with him in Los Angeles during a nationwide book tour. He commended the group for their success with the song Real which was written as a tribute to heroes of all walks of life. Senator John McCain made a similar gesture and invited the band to meet him at his office in Phoenix, AZ. In addition to his appreciation for the aforementioned song, Senator McCain thanked the band for their tireless work with the USO. At the Greenbrier resort in West Virginia, Liquid Blue performed alongside Presidents Bill Clinton and George Bush Sr. Movie mogul and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is another celeb who has entrusted Liquid Blue to entertain at one of his events. And the bands popularity in celebrity circles is not limited to the United States. Leonel Fernandez, the President of the Dominican Republic, brought the group to perform for an exclusive event in the resort city of Punta Cana, DR. Many celebs attended including Sammy Sosa and MLB home run king Barry Bonds. President Gaston Flosse of Tahiti brought the group to perform in the French Polynesian capital city of Papeete. In China, the band is a favorite of high ranking Chinese officials and was invited to perform at the opening concert for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. NATO officials hired Liquid Blue for a special performance at their Brussels, Belgium headquarters. An elite client in the Bahamas recently hired the group to perform on a private island for a party of investors including country legend George Strait. The band is also a favorite at country clubs. For example, The Mission Hills Country Club (near Kansas City) has hired the group five times for their annual gala. In their hometown of San Diego, the band was recently hired to perform at the city’s most prestigious social event, the 65th annual Las Patronas Jewel Ball and received rave reviews. MLB Hall of Fame member Tony Gwynn chose Liquid Blue to perform at his charity event. The list goes on. Band alumni include Sony recording artist BC Jean, who started her career with Liquid Blue in 2003 and was recently signed by Clive Davis. “The Show”

A Liquid Blue show is suited for both the eyes and ears. The BlueGirls have over 100 separate dance routines which is unprecedented as far as we know. Between the variety of music and variety of choreography, an audience never get bored with any aspect of a Liquid Blue show, even when witnessing the band on multiple occasions. Liquid Blue has recently added “wallpaper” graphics to their live show. These cutting edge images add tremendously to the visual impact of a show and Liquid Blue is one of the first dance bands to incorporate custom graphics into their show. “Rock and Roll Fantasy”®

Many people hire Liquid Blue because the band is young, highly energetic, hip and plays more modern Top-40 dance hits then most other similar groups. What is sometimes surprising to those that have never seen the band live is that Liquid Blue, at its core, is a rock and roll band. Classic and modern rock are the groups forte. With that in mind the group recently put together a show for die-hard rock fans called “Rock and Roll Fantasy”. This show features rock music from the 60’s to today. Other popular Liquid Blue tribute shows include “The Divas”, “British Invasion” and “HippieFest”, a flashback to the days of flower-power.
