Love For Humanity is a volunteer based Non-Profit Organization dedicated to alleviating hardships and difficult times by helping people in need with food, toiletries, clothing, education and job networking, among others.
Love For Humanity is unique in its ability to work with other organizations such as Family Preservation Agencies, Foster Care Agencies, Religious Charities, and other Non Profit Organizations.
By being a volunteer based organization Love For Humanity guarantees that the money
people donate goes directly to help people in need.

Long Description
Current Programs:
Grocery Bags Program
This program targets low income family groups, specifically:
i. Families struggling to get out of homelessness,
ii. Families trying to avoid homelessness,
iii. Families struggling to stay together and not lose their children because of inability to provide basic needs.
Many families find themselves at the end of month unable to buy food and pay bills. Although many receive government aid, assistance is nevertheless limited and food stamps run out only after 2 weeks. This is where we step in- we provide supplemental grocery bags filled with staple foods to help families throughout the month.
Homeless Feeding Program
Although we are not often made acutely aware of homeless in our society, it is a prevalent problem nonetheless. In 2011, “The overall homelessness population in California in 2011 was 135,928 people.” Thus, we provide pre-packaged meals to homeless people in the streets, homeless shelters, and transitional houses. The meal usually consists of a hot product such as a hamburger, water, and fruit. We aim to expand this program to providing hot, freshly cooked, meals by opening soup kitchens or by teaming up with churches and/or licensed kitchens.
School Backpack Program
According to the US Department of Agriculture (Coleman-Jensen 2010), “children were food insecure at times during the year in 9.8 percent of households with children (3.9 million households).” Many of these children qualify for and receive free breakfasts and lunches from their school cafeteria during the school week. However, many do not have anything to eat over the weekends. Instead of looking forward to the weekend and time home like most children, these children actually fear them knowing that there is no food at home. To help alleviate their fears, we give each child with a backpack on Friday afternoons filled with enough pre-packaged food to last the weekend.
