Madeline Speak is an artist who creates music that animates the perception of a beautifully raw sound, and also embodies it’s frontman’s christian beliefs. The organic rock coupled with the progressive melodies of M.speaK touches an aggression that rides the fence between rock and metal, but there is also a soft alternative vibe to them with soul hitting simplicity that one could wind down to at the end of a hard day. This artist’s uninhibited story-telling creates an experience that you can’t help but want to be a part of.
“Madeline”, first derived as a song title, personified the vision of a child’s purity, lost in the wilderness of an ever-changing and imperfect world… Madeline “Speak” then, was the voice of that innocence. The voice of a heart that seeks truth and meaning, reasons for hardships and heartache… making sense out of an ever confused generation. After years of searching, Andy had finally found his own voice and faith, and linking up with fellow bandmates Jonathan, Vince, Dave and Javier, he knew he finally found the support and musicianship he needed to make Mads’ voice a reality-
Starting out in his little room, making his way through all the open mics in the Los Angeles area, to almost every bar, venue, and club in southern california with his newly formed band, this artist is ready for the next step. Since their debut in March 2010, they have been publicized as “Orange County’s Band of the Year” by the kind folks at the Los Angeles Music Awards, and also been nominated for “Best Male Vocalist” 2010. Having also received Mike Pinder’s (Moody Blues) Honorary Songwriting Achievement with the song “As I Lay”, they have also done charity work with children’s cancer and the International Medical Corp for Haitian Relief, and were also invited onto the Extreme Tour with Ted Bruun and Rockforjustice.org.
