Maggie Brown (aka Maggie B) is an Asian-American plus-size fashion model, host and actress. Raised in Kailua, Hawaii, Maggie holds a degree in Biology, allied health, and a secondary teaching certificate. Maggie got her big break when, in November 2006, she won “Tyra’s Thick and Sexy Top Model Contest” on The Tyra Banks Show. She was literally “plucked” from her life as an 8th grade science teacher and tossed into the ocean of the Fashion/Entertainment industry. Since winning the Thick and Sexy Top Model contest, Maggie has appeared on various television broadcasts which include: AM Northwest, “Tyra Banks Show”, “Entertainment Tonight, “The Insider”, How to look Good Naked (season 1 and 2) with Carson Kressly, and How Do I Look, The Doctors and Oprah’s new Webisode Documentary series out in November 2009. Maggie is currently working as a television host/red carpet host and and is enrolled in Playhouse West for acting. In addition to television appearances, Maggie has shot many campaigns for various designers and companies such as Target, Nordstrom, Laura Canada etc…and can be seen working the catwalk in various fashion shows.Maggie is currently signed with Wilhelmina Models in LA, NYC, and MIAMI as well as Q6 Models and Artists Management inPortland, Oregon and More Models in Honolulu, HI.
