Maria Elena Infantino
Was born in Italy on the 20th of February . She grew up in a family of Opera singers where art and life blended together in perfect unison. She moved to London at the age of 18 to attend the Foundation Acting course at East 15 , after which she trained for three years at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA).
Her past jobs include a part in Emmerdale for ITV Yorkshire television and roles in various Shakespeare productions in the theaters of Rome and London .
On the 28th of October 2010 Maria Elena was specially chosen to perform at the Beatles 50th Anniversary star-studded concert along with Special star guest Dame Shirley Bassey, at the Royal Albert Hall with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Her rendition of “Do you Want to Know a Secret” was a smash hit.The song was specially arranged for her from Maestro Umberto Scipione, who’s been nominated for the “David di Donatello Award “in Italy for best Music Score for the movie “Ben Venuti al Sud” and the sequel Nord.
On the 23rd of January 2011, she has also ventured in hosting and producing her own show in the West End at the Leicester Square theatre in London, as a tribute to her famous father, the tenor Luigi Infantino, where she also performed her father’s song from the Godfather part 2 .
Maria Elena has also been nominated for the 21st annual L.A. Music Awards as an International artist, in Los Angeles on the 23rd of June 2011.
While in Rome, she created her one woman show on the legendary French icon, Edith Piaf , which was a great hit amongst the Italian audience. Maria Elena premiered this sold out show to the USA, in Los Angeles at the Marilyn Monroe Theatre, at the Lee Strasberg Institute.
On June 12th she inaugurated the Piaf and Miles Davis forever stamp , celebrating the Artist’s 50th Anniversary , at the Rubin Museum in New York.
August 2012 saw Miss Infantino involved with her one woman show in Europe at the Apollonia Festival in Bulgaria and in Italy, where again it was a smash hit.
On the 29th and 30th of September, Maria Elena was invited to perform for the Jimmy Kimmel ,5th annual ,San Gennaro festival On April 27th 2013 Maria Elena delighted once more the L.A. audience at the historical Grammy Museum.
Right after that, she filmed “Job’s daughter”a feauture film, which she co-produced and starred in, with 5 time Emmy winner Doris Roberts and a cast such as Thaao Penghlis from “Mission Impossible” , “Days of our Lives”, and Eric Roberts.
On May 4th The Soka University awarded Maria Elena for her vocal ability and interpretative versatility as an actress and singer, in front of 10.000 people.
On 14th of July, in occasion of Bastille day, Maria Elena has been invited to perform the National Anthem, Marseillaise, for the French Consul in L.A. In September 2013 she toured her Piaf show in the best European venues in cities such as Rome, Luxembourg and Bulgaria. Once back in L.A. she performed, for her second consecutive year, at the Jimmy Kimmel , San Gennaro festival.
She is now starring in a horror movie, alongside Clark Gable jr. and Victor Alfieri, premiering November 1st at the Raleigh Studios. December 9th, she has been personally invited by Mike Stoller to perform at the 92Y event in New York, celebrating the legendary Lieber & Stoller.
Maria Elena is also involved in charity events for ALS, and children’s education programs.
