Maruen Murra is a dynamic new singer songwriter with a strong and powerful voice with luscious melodies and messages that penetrate to the soul. Born in northern Mexico and based en Los Angeles, Ca.
Since a young age, he felt the sensation for singing. In his development, he has taken courses of singing and music with teachers at the National Conservatory in Paris. He has also taken master-classes in operatic singing and vocal technique in the city of New York under the direction of outstanding singers and musicians of international height like Stephen O’Mara, John Wustman, & John Miller (President, Pinnacle Arts Management).
He has also participated in theatrical and musical works in other Academic Institutions and in artistic groups in Mexico City. He has performed at international festivals and was invited as the soloist in the principal choir of the Cathedral of the City.
Recently, Maruen had the opportunity to create his first material in Los Angeles for his upcoming EP with producer, Steve Wood, who has won multiple awards in film composition and commercial music production. And Benjamin Diaz Flores a young and talented producer and friend who collaborated with Maruen to develop his upcoming EP.
Maruen has been nominated twice for the Hollywood Music Awards 2013, for his single “Amor eres tu” in World’s category and for “Volverte a ver” in the Latin’s category. Also Maruen was nominated for the LA Music Awards 2013 for Best Singer/Songwriter of the year/ Vocal Performance. Finally Maruen is also officialy nominated “Best Vocal Performance” 2014/2015. For the song “Un Amor Asi”, Latin Category,“Hollywood Music & Media Awards 2014”, Los Angeles, CA.
Maruen’s current musical style could be classified as “Pop-Opera”, a fusion of classic sounds and pop, with acoustic and flamenco rhythms. Maruen’s music makes a voyage through the emotions that come from the pain of separation. He believes that most people suffer in life because they are separated from many things: their true love, their true passion or work path, or their spiritual path (the strongest personal feelings from the soul).
Maruen is currently performing in the United States and is looking forward to adding you to his fan base.
