Mercora announced a swarm approach to getting an artist or group sent to the LA Music Awards. They will aggregate the choice of listeners… (Windows users only at the moment)… using the Mercora IM Radio application.

Mercora Inc., which operates IMRadio-the world’s largest digital music radio network-and the Los Angeles Music Awards have partnered to provide one music artist or group the opportunity of a lifetime. The winning band/artist will have the opportunity to play up to two songs at the 15th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards. The Winner and Runner Up artist/bands will be notified by e-mail on or before October 10, 2005. To participate, submit an application and be accepted to the Mercora IMArtist Beta Program, agree to enter the contest, and agree to be rated by Mercora IMRadio listeners. Entry is free.
