Michael Hossler

Highlight Reel

Nominee at the 10th annual LA Music Awards

“With Friends Like These…” contains songs written by Michael Hossler, the lead guitarist in Dan Treanor’s Afrosippi Band. Some of the very finest blues musicains from the Colorado front range came together to lend support to this recording. From Erica Brown’s powerful vocals on “Shake the Shack, to Rex People’s haunting vocals on “HIding in the Shadows”, Merrian Johnson’s silky smooth vocals on “You’re Gonna Miss Me”, and Jay Forrest’s amazing vocals on “I am the Invisible Man”, this disc covers a lot of blues infused material without actually being a true blues recording. The instrumental material is musical without being self absorbed, and will have you tapping your toes.
