Minus Halo started in Sacramento, Ca in early 2003. Minus Halo’s sound is derived from a mix of the Seattle and Sacramento music scenes along with timeless rock melodies to create a unique alternative to the heavy metal and acoustic sounds of today.
Chris’s performance at the world famous Whiskey-A-GoGo in Los Angeles made a lasting impression on Darrell Hukill and they decided to join forces in 2002. Bassist Sean Navin was influenced to join Minus Halo when Darrell noticed his tattoo work at Modern Body Tattoos and realized they were briefly in a previous band together.
Minus Halo won Heavy Alternative “Album of the Year” at the 16th Annual L.A. Music Awards. They also received nominations for “Artist of the Year” and “Single of the Year” for their self titled track “Minus Halo.”
After the L.A. Music Awards Tom Frost (Luxt, Deconstruct) joined the band as drummer.

**Minus Halo would like to welcome Tom Frost to Minus Halo. For those who do not know Tom, here is a little background:
I Have been playing drums since I was 11 yrs old.(that’s 17 years now!!) I currently drum for Minus Halo. I Previously played for DECONSTRUCT, LUXT, PLEX, The Scott Allen Project. Love to do studio work. Day job is teaching locally. Enjoy all kinds of music especially fusion. I am a pinball freak, and musical historian. I live and breathe music, and believe in living your dreams. I am a 3-time Sacramento’s Sammies Award winner and Hall of Famer (2x’s and Hall of Fame w/ LUXT, and 1x w/ DECONSTRUCT) Deconstruct has opened for Korn, Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin, Def Leppard, Iron Maiden, Drowning Pool, Nickle Back, Puddle Of Mudd, Taproot, Powerman 5000, Nonpoint, Skid Row, HED PE, and many more.
