PROJECT DIRTY BIO
The origin of “Project Dirty” can be traced back to 2002 when the two founding members Rhett Fisher (vocals/keys) and Micah Faulkner (guitar) met by coincidence through friends. They formed the band “Manic Mind”, ended up getting a record deal and recording an album 3 years later. Playing all the L.A. nightclubs, and doing some shows in Miami, including opening for N’sync, they quickly gained a following, but soon realized that the label was falling apart. As the label dissolved, the guys were left wondering where to go next.
After a 4 year hiatus, they decided to start producing and writing a new record by themselves without the help of a label. It was a rewarding experience that they will never forget. With the growth that came from creating an entire album themselves, they honed their sound and created the dual EP’s called “ACT 1” and “ACT 2”, respectively. The EP’s blend a unique pop, dance and party rock sound that has top 40 written all over it. Then they brought a DJ onboard to create an exciting live show. They just recently performed as the musical guest and house band for the first YouTube talk show sponsored by YouTube called “Call It A Show”, and have a featured spot on Time Warner Cable’s on demand
feature under “SoCalbeat”. They were also a guest recently on “The 2 Guys Show” in Detroit, MI.
Their 2nd full length album “Blue Fire” has just been released worldwide via iTunes and Amazon, with “Skywalker” currently being the first single off the album. The music video is up for fans to see. The latest single “Skywalker”, off the new album “Blue Fire”, is in heavy rotation on SiriusXM (US, Canada and Mexico) channel 3 (20 on 20), Magic105 New Mexico (104.9), Germany’s top 100 stations, Traxxradio in Australia, Sugar Water Radio in the US, #1 hit station Kwin 97.7/98.3 in Stockton, CA, Strobe.FM in Chicago, IL, and is in heavy rotation on #1 hit music stations 92.9 Fm in Caracas, Venezuela, RD1 Fm in Brazil, and many others. They are also currently featured in many different music magazines.
