Rachel Farris

Highlight Reel

Risky and gritty, sweet and sexy, Rachel Farris is the top 50 hit songwriter of “I’m Not the Girl” and the pop charting “Stick Your Tongue in My Mouth.” Her pop rock and adult contemporary music is playful and fiery, but also ardent and touching. She can be found hiking or in a Zumba class when she isn’t writing and singing.

Rachel has been playing piano since age seven and began writing songs in her teens. “When I write music, I know what the production should sound like—the drums, guitars, keyboard parts and strings, I have a complete vision for the song,” explains Rachel, who thrives on both sides of the recording booth.

She has shared the stage with Smash Mouth, Daniel Bedingfield, Lisa Marie Presley, Sixpence None the Richer, Mercy Me, Earth Wind & Fire, Brooks & Dunn and many more. She was a musical guest performer on the Wayne Brady Show. She has toured the U.S. extensively and has visited over 35 major radio stations to sing on-air and give interviews. Rachel was also featured on the covers of R&R magazine and The Network magazine. Billboard did a write up on her hit single, “I’m not the Girl.”

Rachel’s fervor extends beyond sharing her music, to fostering lifelong change for neglected children. All of the proceeds of her 2012 song, “Empty” go to Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), a charity for children.
