Rock Singer. Born on October 30, 1961, in Brooklyn, New York, Ross began playing music at the age of 4. She learned to play the acoustic classical guitar at 4, the viola in grade school, later the 4 string bass, 5 string bass, and then the 6 string bass. Ross studied music at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, Musician’s Institute, and the Dick Grove School of Music. She became a bassist and vocalist and played with hard rock metal group ‘Sinboy.’ She also played with the 1980s group ‘Phantom Blue’ as there bassist in 1994 when Kim Nielsen, the original basist left the group. She also played with the group ‘Tangerine’ from 1997 to 1998, and was a touring member of the all- girl group, ‘Vixen’ in 1997. (bio by: K)
