Ron Whitaker, of Simi Valley, an award-winning drummer, and his fiancee, Rodica Isabella Shaldan, will be honored at the Los Angeles Music Awards for their humanitarian work. Two Simi Valley residents will receive the Humanitarian of the Year Award at the Los Angeles Music Awards on Thursday in Los Angeles.
