“YOUR ONLY AS GOOD AS THE PEOPLE BEHIND YOU” SHARMIAN has been very busy these past few years getting her music out to Radio, Through avenues such as BILLBOARDS R&R RADIO MAGAZINE, and with Radio Promotions, Tours, Showcases, and Red Carpet events, she has made her mark. SHARMIAN promoted her songs on R&R and made it on the Front Cover 6 times, “I DRANK MYSELF TO BED’ AND “HURRICANE” got RADIO AIRPLAY all across the Country and all of Europe, With appearances on FOX in SAN DIEGO promoting her show for the Fireman that saved Thousands of lives in Hurricane Catrina She Gave Honor to the men and their Canines that assisted, She received a #13 on The GERMANY Country Airplay Charts with a great buzz across the world.
With the release of her NEW Single “MY LAST REGRET” that SHARMIAN wrote desperately about her family as she adds, SHARMIAN is already getting airplay all over EUROPE and in New Zealand Charted a #1. SHARMIAN is faced with New challenges of moving higher in the RADIO World, She is climbing up the CCMA Power Source Country Christian Chart top 100 at #17 Nationwide and Entered there Country Chart at #72 and up at #48 and will be releasing her Gospels on the Gospel Charts. its a big responsibilty, but I will take one day at a time as God allows, I am only one person….with much preparation for Big Events like the CMA’s and ACM’s, Paramount Studios and other Hollywood Red Carpet Events just to name a few, with a show with Darrly Worley and Trent Tomlinson in Colorado.
Not only an accomplished songwriter, having written such prolific songs, Sharmian is proving to Music City that she is also a show-stopping singer with an incredible stage presence and personality, belting out huge ballads that bring crowds to there feet. Born in Trenton, Michigan, Sharmian moved at six years of age to Southern California, where she acquired most of her music abilities. She then traveled to Nashville Tennessee as a young adult to pursue her dream in country music. Her peers have certainly taken notice. Country music legend Mel McDaniel commented on her show that she is one of the greatest voices in the business. and Vern Gosdin The Great Legend of Country Music (SHARMIAN’S Ex-boy friend) called “The Voice” himself also proclaimed that Sharmian really is the Golden Voice From Nashville, along with Billy Walker that cut two of SHARMIAN’S Gospel songs she wrote with Pal Rakes called “I Wouldnt Miss Heaven For The World” and with David Lee “Jesus Is A Soul Man” Walking all Major RED CARPETS, SHARMIAN has been noticed by two of the biggest CELEBRITY Websites on the web called www.gettyimages.com and www.wireimage.com (search her name there) ……..Being no stranger to the business of music, Sharmian has taken her experiences and ventured into management, publicity, production and promotion, simply making it happen, as she quotes: If you want something done, youve got to do it yourself. Sharmian, in her own created GOD given way, can wrap her voice around a country ballad or an up-tempo tune with the same fervor. She has worked with her late husband, Estill Sowards, touring with him as he promoted award winning John Michael Montgomery and one of country’s hottest duos, Montgomery/Gentry. Estill left her a legacy to live by, and she remembers his last words to her: Remember me…your first Hit Record! She was the last face he saw, and he is the first face she sees in all her music and in all her endeavors. My husband is what completed me in music, she states. Sharmian first enjoyed success on the popular gospel show entitled The Nashville Gospel Hour, a show that is still airing across the country. Other merits include traveling with Multi-Dove Award winner, Larrnel Harris, around the world in Russia, where she sang at the Kremlin. She has also sung the gospel at the cathedrals in Petersburg, the Ukraine, and surrounding cities She also made appearances on TBN with Jim Mc Clellen on the JOY Program. Most recently, she wowed audiences with her weekly Internet radio show entitled Please Squeeze the Sharmian Into Your Day! Though Sharmian is known for her love for gospel music and her writing abilities to express her love for her Creator, that is not the only genre of music she loves. Her rich, powerful vocal styling allows her to sing the blues, R&B, pop, rock, and of course country. I want to do it all! She adds, This is America, land of opportunity. Its time Americans take advantage of it. Through the years, Sharmian has refined her songwriting craft, collaborating with many top-notch songwriters, which include the great Don Goodman (Ring On Her Finger cut by Reba McEntire and Lee Greenwood), and David Lee (1970 Something cut by Mark Wills).
