Powerhouse singer/songwriter Shyla Day is a young and very demanded act in San Diego, being on the scene since her early teens. At 15 years old, she wrote over 60+ original songs in 1 year. After she started playing small open mics, she soon composed and arranged the entire score for an all-original Old Globe production with San Diego Singer/Songwriter Veronica May. Because of her outrageous musicality, lyricism, and outstanding vocals, Shyla Day was often mistaken as older, and when the world found her real age, over a small amount of time she started gaining a reputation for being such a young talent in the San Diego music scene, with demand to play shows often.

Shyla Day soon follows her career as a well-known artist in San Diego. At 16 years old, she was featured on national television with SoCal Showcase (Time Warner Cable), as the youngest ever act on the series. She also performed alongside Billboard winner Daechelle Hernandez, and began performing for charity with the Lollipop Theatre Network. At 17, she began playing main stages such as the House of Blues, Winstons OB, Brick by Brick, the Del Mar Fair, Steam Worlds Fair, and December Nights. She also graduated from the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts with extensive knowledge of music theory and vocal training to the masses. “Great original songwriting and powerful voice! Hard to believe she is only 17!” (Joseph Stevens Starlit).Shyla Day soon lived on to be a featured artist of SanDiegoMusic.TV, semi-finalist of an All-Star Acoustic competition, and winning best act at the East to West showcase held at the World Beat Cultural Center.

Before everyone knew it, little Shyla Day was a grown adult. Now at 18 years old, Shyla Day began being asked to perform a variety of big time fairs and stages such as the Kids Expo Rock n’ Roll MainStage at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, and the Clairemont Family Day MainStage. She also begins spreading around the internet and on national television, with OnLocation:SD (Time Warner Cable). Now, Shyla Day has landed a coveted endorsement deal with the L.A.-based guitar company Daisy Rock Girl Guitars. Shyla Day continues on her mission with continued efforts to broaden her appeal and age range with venues and her ever-changing stylistic approach to music.
