2014 Nominee – Rock Single of the Year – 24th Annual LA Music Awards “Never Quit”
The Phoenix Patriot Band formed in January 2014. Darrin Isham, Director of Operations for the Phoenix Patriot Foundation (PPF), created the band as a vehicle to help launch the music program for the PPF. The band currently serves as a project underneath the music program and is headquartered in Temecula, California. It consists of primary members, along with members-at-large, located across the nation. The band performs cover songs, with the intent to produce original music starting at the end of this year. The first song project is set to focus on producing a song detailing the journey of Navy SEAL LT Dan Cnossen, who is the inspiration behind the creation of the Phoenix Patriot Foundation. LT Cnossen sustained near-life ending injuries in Afghanistan in 2009. His journey from being wounded on the battlefield, to competing with Team USA in Sochi, Russia for the 2014 Paralympics, and the culmination of his anticipated summit of Mount Kilimanjaro will be the focused theme of the song.
