ndustry veteran Tom Callahan began his music business career in 1986 after several years as a touring and studio musician.

Callahan has held executive positions with three record labels including Enigma Records, I.R.S Records and Virgin Records, where he rose to VP of Radio Promotion for adult formats. He departed in 1992 to start his own companies including Tom Callahan & Associates which still operates today as a consultancy, specializing in Licensing, Artist Management, Radio, and Team Building.

In his early marketing and promotion career Callahan was involved with some of the most successful artists in history. Some highlights were, Shania Twain, Rod Stewart, Lenny Kravitz, Paula Abdul, Le Ann Rimes, Bonnie Raitt, Goo Goo Dolls Sixpence None The Richer and many others.

In the early 90’s Tom co-founded Laurel Canyon Entertainment and managed Donnie Kehr, Lisa Mordente, Natalie Archangel, Arnold McCuller, Thom Bishop and others, as well as simultaneously co-founding Coyote Records, where some of these artists released their records; including the first Suzy K CD and the soundtrack for CBS movie of the week “Attack Of The Killer B Movies”.

In the mid 90’s Callahan formed Boulder Entertainment Group with another industry vet and continued his independent promotion company as well as his management and consulting business, working with virtually every major record company. Tom was nominated for Promotion Person of the year two years running 1998 and 1999 and was responsible for negotiating the first ever group radio promotion deal…with Citadel Communications. B.E.G’s management clients included Phoebe Snow, Paul Ventimiglia and Deborah Franco, but often consulted other high profile clients as well as sat on the board of directors for nationally syndicated radio show “E-TOWN based in Boulder, Colorado.

In 1999 Tom founded Vellum Entertainment where he served as President until 2004. R&R magazine nominated Vellum as “GOLD AC label of the year” in 2000 off the success of Vellum artist Suzy K. Callahan continued his management business representing Jordan Hill, Jeff Timmons (98 degrees), and Richard Maranon and Suzy K.

Currently, Tom is label consultant for digital music company CLIP Interactive, as he continues to operate his highly sought after artist development and management company. Some of the most recent artists Jeff Timmons (98 Degrees), Olivia Rox, Amy Hef, Ms. Moxie, Justin Hopkins, David Boyles (Davey B.), Krissi Moses, MIGGS, Karisa Winett, Kaile Goh, Kid Hudson, Katy Rose, Cab 20, Natalia Lesz, Michael Shapiro, J-Henry, as well as grammy award winning mixer/producer Krish Sharma. Additionally, Tom is in demand as a guest lecturer at Musicians Institute and various convention panels here in the U.S. and abroad maintaining his vast international network.
