November 14, 2013 – Los Angeles, Calif. – Alternative Artist and Singer Songwriter MK Ultra attended the 23rd Annual Los Angeles Music Awards to perform his single ‘Killing Angels’ and to accept the award for Live Performer of the Year at the Avalon in Hollywood, CA.
After his performance of the song ‘Killing Angels’, Travis Szendrei of MK Ultra was presented the award for Live Performer of the Year by actor, comedian, and the host of the LA Music Awards, Robert Burton and super model Dustin Quick.
Televised on KDOC-TV 56, Travis of MK Ultra accepted his award in front of a crowd of over 1,200 at the Avalon in Hollywood. MK Ultra accepted his award along side the 2013 Hollywood F.A.M.E. Award recipients including Director/Producer Cass Warner (‘The Brothers Warner’), actors Nathin Butler (‘General Hospital’) and Bill Blair (‘ARGO’), media sensation and actor Ron Jeremy Hyatt (‘Ronin’), actresses Leilani Sarelle (‘Basic Instinct’) and Meilani Paul (‘The Butterfly Effect’), Grammy nominated percussionist Victor Orlando (‘The Gap Band’), music industry executive Steve Resnik and legendary game show host and creator Wink Martindale (‘Tic-Tac-Dough’).
Earlier this year, MK Ultra received nominations for Best New Artist and Best Alternative Artist at a 2014 Artists In Music Awards event called the Breakthrough Series benefiting St Jude Children’s Research Hospital at The Joint in Los Angeles. After performing at the event, Executive Producer Al Bowman of the Los Angeles Music Awards presented the nomination for Live Performer of the Year and was asked to perform at the 23rd annual LAMA on November 14 at the Avalon in Hollywood.
MK Ultra joins the historic line up of Los Angeles Music Awards luminaries including Eddie Money, Oingo Boingo, English Beat, Sublime, RATT, Billy Preston, The Black Eyed Peas, Santana, Katy Perry, Sugar Ray, Slash, Jackson Browne, Alien Ant Farm, and dozens more.

On Thursday, September 26, MK Ultra will be presented with an official Nomination on stage at the World Famous Whisky a Go-Go for the LAMA Voting Party event beginning at 7pm. Travis Szendrei of MK Ultra will be presented the Nomination by New York Super Model, Dustin Quick and Actor, Bill Blair.
Ambient Pop Rock Artist, MK Ultra also looks forward to performing at the prestigious and longest independent music awards event, the 23rd Annual Los Angeles Music Awards held at Avalon in Hollywood on Thursday, November 14.
