SINGER/SONGWRITER, COMPOSER, PERFORMER…..Wa’Dell Jones started organized singing at the age of 13-years old in Jr. and High school ensemble, chorus glee clubs, youth choirs, and resighting poetry at church events. He still remembers that very same poem that was taught to him this very day! As he became a member of West Angeles Church of God in Christ he auditon for the famed West Angeles Mass Choir at that time under the tuteledge of gospel recording artist and music director Judith Christie McCallister, he learn how to harmonize correctly under her direction. She was and is a great praise and worship music instructor. He sang with the choir for four-years and then stepped down. He purchased a home in the Inland Empire and decided to look for a church closer to home, and found Friendship Baptist Church; “A church where Christ is truly magnified!” Bishop James Carrington is residing Pastor at FBC. Wa’Dell was very instrumental in the choirs at Friendship, he sang in four choirs there as a praise & worship music minister, he eventually became the lead vocalist for three of the four choirs there,and recieved renowned appreciation for his performances. His recordings and live performance credits consist of; The West Angeles Mass Choir CD lead by the honorable Bishop Charles E. Blake, titled: “No Limit”, Gospel recording artist Brent Jones and the TP Mobb, titled: “The Ultimate Weekend, CD&DVD. And live concert performance held at the West Angeles Cathedral ministering in music for gospel recording artist; Pastor Donnie McClurklin. And last but not least his self-composed Urban Gospel/Jazz CD, titled: “The Gospel Truth” all songs written, arranged, recorded & performed by Wa’Dell Jones which was released on November, 22, 2011 by Tate Music Group, which is also featured in Gospel USA Magazine, the Oct.
