Winchester Rebels

Highlight Reel

Music Video

Winchester Rebels were formed in the backwoods of Santa Barbara California In the fall of 2009. Nick Hunt, (lead vocals) and John Livergood (bass) had discussed putting a band together for years. One cold and rainy night they stumbled out of their home town bar, the Maverick Saloon, and ran into Nick Fitzgerald an old pal who had just been thrown out because of a bar fight. They immediately knew he was the guitar player they wanted. It was good timing since he to was looking to start a band. After a couple of practices they started talking about incorporating a second guitar sound into the mix. Fitzgerald then asked pal, (guitarist/banjo) player James Longoria to join the project, and he stepped in without hesitation. Finally, Fitzgerald connected with drummer and childhood friend Barry Carter (who was living in orange county at the time) and asked him to join the group. He accepted, moved to Santa Barbara and the lineup was completed. In due time they realized that though they all had mothers from another, they were no doubt cut from the same whiskey soaked cloth. Since those humble beginnings WR has played hundreds of local shows, toured nationally and participated in multiple radio station interviews. Winchester Rebels has been compared to the likes of Kings of Leon, Atlas Genius, Incubus, Alice In Chains and the Black Keys just to name a few. Be sure to check them out at a show near you.
