2014 Nominee – Live Performer – 24th Annual LA Music Awards
Yolanda is famous for a fiery onstage energy that almost knocks an audience off its feet. Songs of heartache and passion take you on a rollercoaster journey and have helped make her an award winning songwriter and vocalist, winning 2 L.A Music Awards.
2009 Yolanda and the Stolen Boys recorded a 4 track ep with Aria Award winning producer anton hagop. Anton is well known for working on silverchair’s “diorama”, and powderfinger’s “vulture Street”. It was mastered in New York at Sterling sound By Tom Coyne. The Ep charted at #31 on the national ARIA singles chart on opening week and #13 on the AIR Australian independent charts.
Their film clip “Lock up your sons” reached #1 on MAKS TV a 24hr Tv entertainment network in the US and scored 168 plays on wk 27 in 2010 by European radio station The Mighty 1395 Road Roller.
Performing their brand of high energy rock at legendary venues such as The Whisky A Go Go in LA, their favourite gig however was scoring the Steel Panther support at Key Club on Sunset in Nov 2010.
Yolanda has also worked as a backing vocalist (TV and live) for chart topping artists Wendy Matthews, Vanessa Amorosi and Powderfinger in Australia.
the Stolen Boys have appeared on free to air TV and numerous cable channels.
Band influences: Slash, Queens of the Stone Age, Baby animals, Skunk Annansie, Divinyls, Pink, Van Halen, Rolling Stones, Orianthi.
Yolanda is now living in L.A and was nominated for a 2014 LA MUSIC AWARD for Best Live performer.
