The 19th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards are proud
to announce the first round of nominees for our November
12th event to be held in our permanent home, the Music
Box Theater. Artists selected in these categories
can be found by clicking on the link on our home page
marked 2009 NOMINEES. With the number of musical submissions
increasing this year, we have raised our standards
higher than they have ever been. To find out the two
different ways you can submit your music to us, please
click on the link marked SUBMIT MUSIC and follow the
instructions.
In other news, the first of 10 LA Music Awards Showcase
Series events was held at Life on Tuesday, February
24th and was an overwhelming success. A total of FOUR
nomination certificates were handed out with an additional
band called Buckfest Superbee picking up two nominations
for Live Performance and Rock Album. Congratulations
to them. The next Showcase Series event is scheduled
for Tuesday, March 31st at Life. www.lifeonwilshire.com.
