Dolores Fuller: Career Achievement

She was once known as the 1950’s sci-fi movie queen
with appearances in some of the most famous or we should

sidekick and star of many of his films, Dolores had a
much greater passion: songwriting. In the early 1960’s,
a chance encounter with Elvis Presley resulted in her
being given the opportunity few women of that era ever
got: a shot at writing tunes for one of the most beloved
superstars in American history. She went on to write 14
NUMBER ONE hits for The King and also wrote for several
other notable artists including the legendary Peggy Lee,
Nat King Cole and Johnny Rivers.

this recipient not only played along side these superstar
